Description
[Edit]Crown Butte is the most prominent summit between Church Spires and Gibraltar Rock. On topographic maps, it is identified as Peak 5436. Looks like a crown from highway-179. Looks like a westward-pointing arrow from space.
There is a scrambling route (history unknown) up the main east gully that involves a ~40-ft pitch of 5th-class climbing, including a 5.8 or A0 slab move at a slung bolt.
If you are coming up here to climb, it'll be either the multipitch routes on the west face, or the cragging/partying on the Backside Crag (south face).
