Tread "more" Gently

To my knowledge, this pitch isn't noted or illustrated in any guidebook. Climb the blocky corner described under "Location" using the corner and the beautiful crack just left of it (5.5). As you top out on the blocky corner continue up the crack. Make a funky traverse move onto a ledge, move left on the ledge to a R facing corner crack and bulge to a stance below a beautiful lieback crack up the slabs to Pine Tree Ledge (5.7). Pretty High Quality!.. And you're all set up to continue up Tread Gently.

This pitch is directly below the start of Tread Gently, below Pine Tree Ledge, and works as a first pitch for any routes that start on PTL. When hiking up the trail towards Pine Tree Ledge, right where the trail hits the actual base of the cliff, just right of the first pitch of Dislocation Buttress, there is a stout oak tree to the right. Sneak between that oak tree and the cliff and step up once to a blocky, R facing corner. Start the pitch at the corner.
