- Edit (TBD)
Description
P1 (5.8) - Easy chimney start with two bolts to protect (painted tan and blend in very well with rock; trust me, they are there). After second bolt, exit to ledge and continue up crack seam to a two bolt anchor. There is still quite a bit of rat skat up here. We tried to clean this up fairly well but there was only so much we could do. Enjoy.
P2 (5.10) - Employ at little mixed technique to establish in the crack system off the ground. Use a combination of jams and face features to pull the roof. Once over roof, traverse slightly left to establish in crack seam and take it to a two bolt anchor. Make sure you leave a directional low when establishing in the left crack seam to the top; I bumped a cam here on the FA and created some unnecessary drag/rope pinching.
Note: This is sandstone climbing. We tested all of the face and crack features and everything that is left is fairly solid.
Location
When walking down the trail, the feature will be on your right. Look for rock path to cross the creek.
Protection
Single - 4-6, Doubles - .3-.75, Triple - 1-3 (although you can get by with doubles), plenty of runners
