MapSplitting Maul
Description
This deceptively challenging slab corner climb will have even the bravest climber sweating through their pants. Filled with difficult compression as well as devious slopers, this is one boulder you won't want to miss. The crux consists of a difficult squat on slippery granite, followed by a large sloper leading to a quartz top-out. Be careful not to fall, the Splitting Maul is not very forgiving...
Location
The start is near the bottom about 3.5 feet from the ground. It is clearly visible on a very large granite glacial boulder, which sits about 20 feet off the right of the trail heading up the mountain.
Protection
Soft forest floor (loam) , somewhat cramped, be sure to bring at least 2 mats
