Description
A steep and daunting dihedral with superb rock quality and thoughtful movement. Begin in a flaring squeeze chimney and perform a bouldery sequence to gain an excellent rest. Stem, crimp, palm, jam, and grovel your way up the highly physical dihedral, peeking around the left wall to find some useful footholds. After clipping the 6th bolt, traverse right to the arete with delicate crimps and lots of air beneath you. For added fun, do a hard boulder problem up the steep "V" instead of the traverse. Finish on steep, glorious jugs. Go ahead, cut your feet and just hang there. You earned it.
This route will draw from all corners of your climbing toolbox and is well worth the arduous approach. Join the club!
Location
The dihedral to the right of Zacher Cracker and left of Piano Hoist.
Protection
7 bolts, 2 bolt anchor. The first bolt seems high, but is easily clipped from a hands-free knee-bar with your right leg.
