Lower North Wall

Description

Large vertical wall with many good sized hold, crimps, and cracks. First 50 feet of the route is dominated by less featureful rock with decent sized crimping holds with good placement for both hands the feet. Upper parts of wall is some of the most exposed climbing on the Devils Pulpit and require more technical hold placement with multiple kick maneuvers, friction holds, and overhang problems that create an exhilarating crux on the final pitch . The route ends on a 10 foot ledge that expands outwards beneath the Upper North Wall.      

Location

The base of the route can be accessed by making a turn north when the Devils Pulpit Approach trail and following the north side of Anvil Rock for approximately 40 meters until you reach a gully. The route beings on the wall protruding out from the gully between Anvil Rock and the North Wall.
