Description
[Edit]Winter Camp is a 25' tall pile of rocks surrounded by more large rocks. It has a couple of short trad leads, top ropes, and boulder problems. With a fair amount of bouldering on all sides at the base and in the nearby washes and low ridges. Two widely separated bolts and cracks provide anchors that can reach all sides, Climbing is needed to reach the top and the easiest way up or down is the crack on the southwest face. This is one of the best places to camp at Knob, the campsite is right up against the rock, distance from the main area when it's occupied by thrashers or large groups, and climbing by firelight are some of the many pluses.
