Peak Mountain 3

Grand Gallery, The

Description

[Edit]

15 feet tall, 60 feet wide boulder that’s moderately overhanging with a flat and clear landing area, smooth slopers, a wide variety of horizontal and full-height diagonal cracks, long and low traverse lines, solid undulating flakes, underclings and sidepulls, bands of vibrant crystals, chimney squeezes, safe top-outs and easy downclimbs - this is one of those boulders you dream of finding. One of the most aesthetically beautiful boulders in the park, and a great the east-facing view overlooking the valley.  The same world-class pink granitic gneiss as the rest of Walnut Mountain, the Pink Granite Maze zone, and other areas of southern Paugnut State Forest.  Coming soon - there are likely 10-15+ good-to-excellent lines on this.
