Stand start on small crimps make a long move to the good horizontal crack that splits the face. From here make fun and enjoyable moves to the next horizontal crack just before the top. top out on easy ground.

On the Essentials boulder.  Climb the arete from a sit to the top.  The challenge is the sit start.  I'm not sure if it has a different name but we called it this after having the healhook fail a couple times.

This is a great beginner climb as it makes you focus on your feet, however it won't pose much of a challenge for most.  Climb up the easy slab and pull onto the top.  Yep, that's it.  Now do it in sneakers without using your hands, and then do it barefoot while juggling chainsaws.

The start is the crux followed by easy climbing. Sit start with under arete with right hand on jug and left on the sloping edge. Move up on top of large flake and  than climb up the easy arete.

Slab climbing that is Classic! Graham O adds: A classic slab climb that may be short, but involves cool holds, cool movement, and perfect rock. A must-do for anyone who likes slabs! 

  Start with high foot, balance up and find the rounded pocket, do a cool hand-foot match and top out on the jug.

This is a really fun climb that doesn't get much attention.  This is due to the climb being located in an area I've never seen dry. If the marsh is frozen or it has been a really dry season then you shouldn't pass up the opportunity to climb this. 

  Start on obvious holds down to the right with good feet and work your way left.  Wrap around the arete and top out.

Climb strait up the middle of the slab on marginal holds to the top. Using the left arete bumps the grade down a bit. Climb strait up the middle to stay true to the grade.

A sweet problem requiring some serious precision. 

  Start standing with right hand on the obvious chalked pinch/crimp and left hand on one of several options. The old left start hold broke, leaving a poor undercling hold. Figure out some foot trickery to enable you to pull off the ground and stand up left hand into the slot (crux). Match the slot and make a big move up and right to a juggy gaston on the lip, match and top out.

Start standing in the middle of the arrowhead shaped boulder on some decent incut holds, the taller they are the easier the problem is. put on a foot and grab the lip, match and get a high right foot, then prepare to roll over onto your right foot as the hands that wait for you will offer little assistance with pulling the lip. Heel hook, slap, and use precise feet to send the crux mantle of this climb! You'll scare yourself on the crux of this great line.  

  Make sure your spotter is paying attention. In Fall 2005 a spotter received an elbow to the head on this climb and got a cracked skull and had to be transported out by the forest service/fish and game.

This is a mostly ignored boulder problem due to the old sharp stump that used to be right in the fall zone. That stump has since been removed and this line deserves another chance. 

  Stand start by establishing yourself in the large undercling. Crimp and technique your way up to the slopers at the lip, figure out how to conquer them and a jug awaits you at the very top. 

  Due to years of neglect this boulder still has some loose rock on it and the top could use a bit of a scrubbing, but get out at climb it!

This line is overlooked due to it proximity to the classic, Boulder X. However it really should get a few more ascents. 

  Sit start on the thin crimp rail with your right and a lower left hand side pull crimp, make crux moves up to a decent left hand side pull. Work you feet around and make a intermediate move or two before hitting the good edge, a couple casual moves leads to the top out.

Awesome one move wonder.   Start sitting and do an akward move to gain the arete and v-easy climbing to the topout.   Very worthwhile if you can find it.

A sloping lip traverse.  Sit start at the lowest part of the lip with both hands matched and a heelhook right on top of them.  Slap out the lip on non-existant holds to gain a jug at the arete.  Follow the arete to the topout.

This slab climb is similar to Know Hands as it can probably be done with no hands. Start with good feet in the middle of the slab and work up to the high point. If you choose to use hands there are plenty of good edges for you to choose from.

I hate G-speak in the backwoods, but here it is.  If you do Boulder X but find yourself wishing there was more to it, have a look at the left arete.  From a low start on two good holds, slap and bump your way up the crimps on the face and slopers on the arete.  Fly out to the big key handhold on the lip with the right hand.  Then switch hands and get set on the mantle.  There is a foothold below the lip that can help with the mantle if you're silly pumped already, but there is no easy way to take the sting out of this move.  The mantle must be one of the very best single moves in the park.

Sit start laybacking the crack. make a long reach up to the arete, throw a heel up and top out there or finish by traversing the arete over to the finish of essentials.

Climb the v groove left of the Boulder X Slab, if you use either arete it will be this grade if you try to do it using only features inside the groove it will be closer to v2. 

  The crux is right off the ground, climb up using small edges and decent feet. Descend off the backside of the boulder.

A great line with an amazing starting sequence! 

  Stand start with a sharp right undercling and left hand on the arête, foothold is just below left arête. Committing reach with left hand to slopey corner of arête. Dyno / deadpoint to small hold with right hand. Left foot pushes off of flake to help with the crux: matching on the small hold. Right hand shoots out to sharp flake on the right side of the face, and a final bump to a great jug finishes the route. 

  Once gaining the small hold with the right hand, there are many ways to get to the final jug. Matching on the small hold and bumping to the jug, climbing the left arête and crossing over, or a combination of both are all possible, making the last half of the route open to interpretation and beta-dependent.

Climb up the slab starting between the two trees to the highest point of the boulder.

A fun little arete climb. Not a classic, but worth doing. Stand start at the base of the juggy arete that ends the crux on Bodacious. Make your way up it for a bit and then rock over onto the slab. Beware of pine needles as you walk up the slab.

The Marsh Boulders are spread out down the hill towards the marsh and hold a number of classics.  Boulder X (V6) is a testpiece that will challenge your topout skills, but try not to put your spotter in the hospital.  Bodacious (V7) is pure sloping fun that follows an arête to an easier top-out.  The top-out can be squat-started on its own as a shorter problem called Bench Warmers (V1). Further down the hill, Touchdown Giants (V2) is an underrated problem on an underrated boulder due to location, and holds many other crimpy variations on the same face that are just as fun.
