Description

Take the path of least resistance up the wide, shallow channel, following a "more or less" direct line, heading for "the sleeping dog". The face becomes more featured as you ascend. Either "let sleeping dogs lie" (you can pass on either the R or L side) or go straight up the center. There are a few moves of easy 5th class, and the first reasonably good pro is found here. Continue up and over the dog's back. At the tail of the dog, where it narrows to a point, is a small gap of a foot or so between the dog and the main wall, where you will encounter a rightward arching crack/flake/overlap kinda-sorta feature. Follow the "crack" (it is protectable if you feel the need) to its terminus and then, going straight up, follow the low-angle face pulling knobs and plates up towards "the trap". Surmount the junior-sized Pullman Car to the R side of it's southern aspect (easy 5th) and continue up more low-angle, well-featured face to the walk-off.

Location

Start at the fairly wide, relatively shallow, dished out channel directly below the large block (the "Sleeping Dog") about 50' or so above the deck.

Protection

Not much, if any, in the first 50 feet or so, then hand to fist size cams and/or tri-cams. YMMV.
