North Ridge

A scenic scramble which steepens towards the top negotiating two prominent gendarmes near the summit.

Follow a diagonal tree line leftwards from the lakes to a flat spot below the ridge proper, where exposed slabs then lead to a low angle ramp through them on the right; after that up towards steeper blocky terrain, then Class 3 climbing right of the first tower and then through a steep chimney-like weakness in the second tower to the summit.

The route has some very good views down into the Sabrina Basin, over to Humphreys, and as you get higher, the main crest peaks.

Descend the route or the horribly steep and loose east face.
