- Edit (TBD)
Description
A short, quite fun route up solid limestone, using interesting (and in one or two cases, creepy) holds. The climbing is a bit different than on most 5.8 routes in
Rock Canyon
.
Start up a slopey, slippery, bit of limestone with occasional lichen patches and clip the first bolt. Find small crimps and poor feet to surmount the first almost-bulge.
You'll wonder what the short, overhanging head wall ahead is doing on a 5.8. Find the holds and then pull over it. The chains are up and left a bit.
Location
Located about 15 feet to the left of
Good for Your Soul
, which is the left route on the main face of
Boingo Wall
, and which starts just to the right of the large tree.
Protection
4 bolts, chain anchors. Extend the anchor with slings if you plan on top roping it. The chains can't be seen from the ground.
