Description
9 bolts lead to a two bolt anchor. I'm not sure if a 50 meter rope is long enough for this route. Best to have a 60 meter.
Location
Walk up the Oak Creek/Twin Peaks 4WD road that starts at the west end of town. Walk up a couple switchbacks until you reach a sign for the Oak Creek/Twin Peaks trailhead. Continue walking south west on the 4WD road. Walk past the forest service chainlink gate for a 100 yards or so, and you'll reach a flat peaceful forested bench. Head south. After a few minutes, you'll be at the edge of the cliff with canyon creek below you. To get to the base of the cliff, you can down climb or make a short rappel from trees at the eastern end of the cliff. The route is on the eastern end of the cliff and climbs black and grey limestone. Like most of the area, there's potential for more routes depending on how much cleaning you want to do. This cliff faces south and is in the sun for most of the day.
Protection
9 bolts/ two bolt anchor. Or top out on the cliff, belay from trees and have a nice picnic.
