Ancient Age

Start low on the good incut hold then toehook and finesse your way to the enormous crux move to a good finger bucket on the lip, then top out. The reach at the end is pretty big and at this time, the climb has yet to see a complete ascent. Not sure on the rating yet. Quality.

This route is in the "Whiskeytown" area at Balsam, east of the 'ShooFly/NoGirth boulder about 200 yards on the ridgeline. The large boulder has a couple very esthetic lines on it including 'AncientAge', another route that may go right from the low start hold, and a complete traverse from right to left, ending on Ancient. The east side of the boulder has a climb in the V2-V3 range titled 'Sour Mash'. The smaller boulder to the west of the big one has the climb '100 Poof'.
