MapDescription
This is a special one.
Sent on Father's Day 2019, with my dad belaying.
Not your average splitter crack climb…incredibly varied movement, using a mix of liebacking, tips locks, crimps and even a kneebar. It’s hard right off the ground, with an intricate sequence through the steepest section of the route. The difficulties don’t let up until a "rest" about halfway up. Then there is one more cruxy section, followed by pumpy 5.10+ fingers to the top. Amazing sequences.
One of San Diego's best.
Location
On the west face of the Summit Towers...can't miss it. It takes about an hour and 10 minutes to get to the base of this route from the car.
Protection
Thin, but good. Doubles from Green C3 to Red C3, an extra 0.2 and 0.3 X4. 1 bolt and a 0.3 X4/C4 for the anchor.
