Prime Cut

Description

After crawling back as far as you can go into the crevasse, you will near the smaller exit hole. Start here by lying on your back with double hand jams. Kick your feet up into the crack ahead of you and make the tight invert transition in the less than ideal space. Starting this far back provides the most obvious/bomber start holds, but can be trickier for the taller person.

Location

Park at the First Pigtail Boulders and hike up the road 100 yards. Here there will be a forest access road on the left hand side (east) of the paved road. Turn left (east) down this access road and see the large blocky rock formation found on the right hand side of the access road atop the hill. Trend off the access road heading towards the blocky rock formation. Pass by the right (southeast) side of this formation and one other behind it, following up the gully until coming into sight of Boaring Ridge. You will see the wide right trending crack split of Prime Cut.
