MapDescription
The exact route is unclear in the Carolina Climbers Coalition guidebook, but here is the route generally agreed upon:
Climb the center of the 30 ft. tall buttress that lies to the left of the base of the Big Arete area. Route appears to go over a little one-move roof and ends at the base of a pine tree in a crack (this tree makes it hard to top out on this climb).
Protection
Natural anchors. To set anchors, scramble up the chimney behind the buttress to set. On top, there is a tree and 2 large blocks about the size of a car motor. About 50 feet of webbing required. Try to avoid tying anchor to the poor little tree, use the blocks instead.
