Splits On Grit
Description
An ancient, gritty crack that is the perfect height for a boulder problem. Sit start where it feels natural to place your hands. Crux consists of the first few moves working the crack on blank, slabby feet.Stand start is as good or better starting from fairly low feet. Would recommend against starting on the obvious, high foothold. Makes a good eliminate avoiding that foothold. The jugs that stick out from the top may break loose, I don't entirely trust them, particularly the left one. Some of the rock on this slab is crumbly but the crack and the immediate flat jug up top are solid.
Location
Headed north along the blue trail from where you come onto it past the water tower you will eventually see a talus that lies between some large slabby cliffs and the cliff of the ridge itself. The crack is on the north end of the talus facing south.
