Peak Mountain 3

Left End Layback

FA unknown
CREATED
UPDATED

Description

Climb up the vertical hand crack.

Since it's a relatively short route, this route is a nice introduction for learning how to layback.

Location

Look for the obvious hand crack on climber's left of Crag 5.

Protection

You can belay off of limited trees at the top, but there are plenty of options for a gear based anchor further back if you have a long static rope (100 feet) for your anchor.

Bouldering pads would also work great, the landing is relatively flat.
