South Chute to South West Ridge

Slog up the sand slope to the entrance to the chute, flog your way up, using the left wall might ease things, until you get to the notch. Head right along the summit ridge, which is much more enjoyable, pass the first tower on the right by going down, then back up Class 3 terrain till beneath the summit block.

After reaching Royce Col follow blocks along the north shore of the center Royce Lake, on the south face of Spire Peak there is a sand chute/slot about 300 feet up.
