Description

An easy 5 mile hike to monarch lakes brings you to the bottom of Sawtooth Pass. The scramble up to the Pass takes about an hour on steep scree (or snow early season). Then traverse along the ridge to the summit on 3rd class.

Protection

None, ice axe & crampons in winter/early spring.
