Sleek Beak

Description

Up the center of the steep broad face on the inside corridor side, with Beak of the Week aound to the left and Super Beak of the Desert around and above to the right.  Only 3 protruding buttonheads with rusty hangers "protect" about 2/3 of the way up.  Then either the route veers left and up to join the 4th bolt of Beak of the Week to finish up that (might this be why that bolt was left as a protruding buttonhead with rusty hanger as well on Beak of the Week, in stark contrast to the rest of its modern solid bolts?), or veers right and up via subtle features (some breakable) and much grainy choss to run it out up to the shared anchor. Original PG rating presently more like R/X due to the dilapidated lead bolts.

Location

The steep flat (north) face between the Beak of the Week arete around to the left and Super Beak of the Desert corner edge around to the right.

Protection

3 relic bolts, same bolted anchor with slings, quicklink, and biner shared with Beak of the Week and Super Beak of the Desert.
