Description

From the gully, climb past 3 bolts of 5.8 terrain using extra long slings to reach Steve's original 2-bolt belay anchor. From here, climb past 1 bolt in the slab to finally reach the main head wall.

Launch into a nice 12a intro section to the large, horizontal break. From the break, climb through the first two bolts of

Rustic Wilderness

, and move right after the second. Follow three more bolts up the direct center of the wall. There are multiple cruxes with one marginal rest, and the red point crux is the last few moves on the headwall. Stick the jug out right, clip the recently added last bolt, and then mantel over the lip to clip the anchors which are shared with

Rustic Wilderness

.

Location

This route is the center line on the Wild Wall in between

Rustic Wilderness

and

Wild and Scenic

.

Protection

14 bolts, extra long slings at the bottom (there are currently fixed rope draws on the first three bolts and a sling on the fourth), and a 2 bolt anchor.
