Coronary Bypass

Description

This route starts with a move onto a small shelf cut out, followed by interesting moves up a rounded bulge. Stem the squat tower to the left if you want, it's right there. Or don't if you're a purist. Easy climbing takes you out on to the left arete and is followed by a deceptively difficult short headwall.

The rock quality on the route is exceptionally coarse. Be prepared to go into significant skin debt if you get on this with soft gym fingers.

Location

This is the first bolted route on the left side of the east face of BPT. The climb is on a separate tower left of BPT proper.

Protection

Bolts and chain anchors.
