Thin White Line

Description

Follow the thin white line; it’s like the yellow brick road but steeper.

P1: 5.10 Head up lower angle rock to a shallow right facing corner. This will flatten and thin out, ending on an awesome belay ledge. Gear to 2.5” 100’

P2: 5.13b Start clipping bolts up the slightly overhanging arete using thin edges out right. A good rest is followed by some tenuous slab moves and steep roof pulls. Finish the pitch with a slam dunk over the last roof. 100’

P3: 5.11c X Skip this gross pitch or bring a number 5 or just rap in and add some bolts. I probably won’t.

Location

Heads straight up the center of Flying Buttress. Lots of draws and gear to 2.5”. 70m rope required.

Protection

Bolts and gear.
