This fun talus hop across boulders on the crest of the ridge has fine views of the Abbot Group and feels quite remote being on the west side of the main Sierra Crest which adds to its windswept appeal.
Descent is down the south slope/ridge.
Location
From Italy Pass head cross country to the north west to the 12,300 ft saddle at the start of the ridge.
Protection
None required, it's a solo scramble
