C.O.G
Description
Start on the far left of Chiseled Arête Boulder, toward the road. Then traverse right following the sloping edge, starting with a sidepull & crimps, then gradually becoming more sloped and difficult until you're at the arete, and finish up on the top half of the chiseled arête.
This climb is fun because it gradually becomes more challenging as you traverse and more and more C.O.G.-dependent for the crux. Then finish up the glorious, chiseled arête! This climb looked undone. I did some lichen scrubbing and moved some rocks on the ground; however, the tree stump gave the impression there may have been a climb (either vertical or whatever) there before, but no there were other signs. So we did the traverse from far left to far right. ENJOY! This is another cool climb while you're working on
Chiseled Arete
at a similar grade. The difficulty of this climb can vary dependent on the weather/ temps due to some of the holds being more friction-esk.
Location
This ascends the Chiseled Arête Boulder starting on left side of the boulder toward the road.
Protection
2-4 pads if your not planning on dragging them under the climber.
