MapDescription
A fun and solid scramble above the Tablelands, with outstanding views of the Great Western Divide.
Gain the apparent knife-edge from the ridge's eastern side (past the big step), this is the only Class 3 section, once on the ridge follow solid rock to the summit.
Descend the same way.
Location
From Pear Lake follow the cross-country use path (to Moose Lake), with occasional ducks up slabs then a better trail to the crest of the eastern wall of Pear Lake, there's a rocky corridor/notch at the crest, leave this and hike southeast up slabs, past a big step in the ridge to the left, then gain the ridge as mentioned above.
Protection
Solo.
